Bullshit, the criminal should be charged with first degree murder. The cop should be given a medal. Go ahead appease and excuse the criminal. That is why no criminal gives a crap and feels thye can do what ever when ever. So what if it was excessive tinting. It is the law. Don’t like the law, change the law, until then, obey the law. Don’t obey the law and run when you are going to get a “ticket” murder someone through your own stupidity, go straight to the electric chair, do not pass go, do not collect your worthless selfish life.

I wonder if you’d feel the same way if it had been your loved one that had been killed in such a stupid, senseless way?

The cop almost certainly had the drivers licence plate number and video evidence of the tinted windows on his cruisers camera, so why not let the guy keep driving and then send him the ticket in the mail?

So, it is ok that the vehicle with excessive window tint was driving at least 98 mph to get away from the officer. “What if” he ran over your daughter crossing in the cross walk at school. “What if” he just kidnapped someone and had his windows tinted that dark so no one could see. Come on, we can’t say “what if” until I am blue in the face.
The officer was doing his job! That is what he is paid to do. To protect and to serve.
I am feel sorry for the man who was in the pickup that was hit. But if we let people not follow the law… worse things can happen.

you guys are making assumptions … no one says that the tinted car was running from the cops

if the cop was on the side of the road doing a speed trap and saw the car tinted car drive by he would need to accelerate greatly to catch up which explains why he was doing 98 ..

cop is at fault, issue resolved

and this is why America has gone to the crapper.

Look at you people. Someone “might get hurt” “What if it was YOUR loved one.”

All good excuses to let criminals just get away.

If you catch and toss these losers into the pokie, execute anyone that does any of the big three, and yeah, running from a cop and killing someone IS MURDER not an accident, then while it will not stop NEW criminals from doing something heinous, but it will stop the ones that have committed an offense.

You appeasers don’t get it and never will. You are so wrapped up in your bleeding heart liberal hog wash that you don’t understand that some people just don’t give a damned about you or your “children.” They don’t care about life or limb. And they damned sure don’t care about the law.

Since you want to play the what if game…..

What if that person had the windows tinted to hide a kidnapped little boy or girl, raped over 2 days and then murdered the kid and dumped in on their parents yard? Huh? What if that you cowards.

The statistics for catching a person who is in the commission of or has committed a felony on a smaller charge such as “speeding” and “window tinting’ FAR out weight the statistics of people injured in the pursuit of a criminal.

But go ahead… cling to the idea that someones little baby, yeah, including anyone of my four or my wife or even me, that it is better to allow criminals to escape than it is to pursue them. Life is dangerous… but you cowards think that if you make enough laws and appease enough criminals you will be allowed to suck the **** of your tormentors all in the hopes they will allow you to live.

    Cowards. All of you.

i wouldnt exactly call someone who tinted their car windows too dark a criminal. You have gotten a traffic ticket before right? do you consider yourself an ex-criminal? and i am not making excuses for him, i am placing the blame on the cop who didnt know how to control his equipment which resulted in a death instead of a simple $20 ticket

“running from a cop and killing someone IS MURDER”

show me where it says the tinted car was running from police.. you cant because you didnt read it from the story, you made it up!

“”but you cowards think that if you make enough laws and appease enough criminals”"

not saying any laws should be changed .. where are you getting this stuff? just saying the cop is responsible for not controlling his equipment

cop is at fault, issue resolved .. Have a nice day .. NEXT!

In a 40 mhp zone, I seriously doubt he was doing 98 ‘just to catch up’ to the guy. And If this guy was only going 40, he would surely have seen the cop pull out to come after him, and knew it was for him. Of course, being so law abiding that he is, he would have started to pull over…..

The guy was obviously running, and most likely, for a reason.

if he was a law abiding driver he would have been looking forward in the direction he was driving not staring at a cop in his rear view mirror. how many times have you been driving and see a cop fly past you to catch someone else. you never know who he is going for until he is on your ass or flying past, then its obvious

the only reason i even give a crap about any of this is because i have been cut off by so many cops flying down the freeway to catch someone else for a speeding ticket .. one time a motorcycle cop cut across three lanes and in front of me exiting on the off ramp .. i almost hit the cop and be damn sure i would have been charge for assaulting an officer if i did

this is not new .. i see it all the time .. its about time the cops are held responsible .. i wish i could give out citizens citations for cops.

Vehicular manslaughter, charge him up. Or, is he above the law as most officers are?
