Ohio – Erik Roberts, an Army sergeant who was wounded in Iraq, underwent his 13th surgery recently to save his right leg from amputation. Imagine his shock when he got a bill for $3,000 for his treatment.
“I just thought it was bull—- that I’m getting billed for being wounded in Iraq doing my job. I always put the mission first, and now that I was wounded in Iraq, they’re sending me bills,” he said. 21:14 Bet you’re an idiot, 22:42 people that see this kind of stuff and do absolutely nothing deserves the samething to happen to them,as soon as I read this I got on my computer and e-mailed my congressman to let them know how outragous this is to charge our soldiers for medical while people are forced to pay moe taxes than ever before in history. And we do not want socialized medicine in this country.

Vets have been promised things for decades by these lying politicians to serve their country. They have been forced to serve for a long time pre-74/75, and this is utter and complete bullshit.

Those elected care about as much as they do stepping on an ant where the vets are concerned. This is why Americans have lost a good deal of interest in serving their country.

And no, we do not want socialized medicine… we want our countries elected officials who make promises to uphold those promises.

obama (and all of you other scumbag liberals) should be ashamed of yourselves! But I guess Cyborgs don’t feel shame.

22:42, Obama did introduce a bill that would make vets responsible for their own hospital bills. Luckily it got shot down real quick.

ofcourse you don’t want socialized medicine, healthcare should only exist for those that can afford it. to hell with the poor, america has had an ongoing war with it’s own underclass forever and what better way to exterminate them than not to heal them when they are sick. the most ardent believers in this are the republicans, and sadly most of the undereducated lower middleclass that actually support the republicans would be first on the hit list if the fatcat wealthy rep. had their wishes. why support a party that would love nothing better than get rid of you and sell your job to mexico. you are the idiots. keep right on voting to make other people rich.

10:19 The thing that you socialists don't seem to understand is that a true American trait is that we would rather take care of ourselves than have someone else do it for us!!

Those folks who are waiting for someone else to take care of them aren't worth the effort or the money it takes to do so.

If I, or anyone else in my family, gets sick or injured, I'll pay the damn bill myself…and I've been doing so for many years!

YOU & OBAMA CAN KISS MY PROUD, INDEPENDANT, AMERICAN A$$!!

What a crock of shit! What you are saying is that someone else should have to pay for your lack of desire to make the same sacrifices others have to have health insurance. Few are in actual need of help, handicapped, elderly, etc, the rest of you single moms and lazy asses go out there any pay your own way through life like the rest of us.

Sick and tired of these tree hugging social welfare asses who only want to take, take, and take some more… but when it comes time to paying their share they cry foul. YOUR LIFE. YOUR HEALTH. YOUR RESPONSIBILITY.

can’t afford it? Get another job. Still can’t? Get a third. Still can’t then you are not responsible enough with your money and do not deserve mine.

When you pay the same percentage I pay n taxes a year then I MIGHT consider a handout… until then… f- off and suffer the pain of no health insurance. Go the the ER, they HAVE to see you in the states and they CANNOT turn you away for EMERGENT care. If you get turned away… it isn’t emergent. Go get some cash and go to a walk in clinic.

Other than that… suffer, like so many of us have done to get to where we are.

    Bloody parasitic cancerous leeches.

health care in canada isn’t free. we all pay into it with every paycheck we make. it’s an honour system to be sure and canadians for the most part are aware of that. when i was in my thirties i spent nearly two weeks in hospital with a collapsed lung, i was not charged or billed in any way but i know this cost the system 10′s of thousands of dollars. i know that that stay cost more than my lifetimes worth of weekly contributions to the health care system and that i,ve pretty much shot my bolt as far as equity is concerned but it’s nice to know if the worst were to happen the doors to emergency are open to me though i do everything to avoid it. i,m 43 and this has been my only visit to a hospital. knock on wood.

Great, socialized health care… that means everyone waits in line til they die. And, if you are lucky enough to make it to the top of the line, it’s subpar treatment. Sounds like a great idea! No thanks, I’ll keep my insurance and get help when I need it.

And ™ ©, “We” = those with insurance coverage. There is already a system in place to cover kids, which is actually paid by smokers (go figure). They are the ones that truely cannot help themselves (aside from elderly and the legitimately disabled, which 15:11 has already mentioned).
