“She was released on $100,000 bail after being arraigned in Queens Criminal Court Tuesday on charges of grand larceny and criminal possession of stolen property. She is expected to enter a plea May 19.”

Only 100K? 10% of that and she walks out facing life (at her age it is life) in prison? You gotta be kidding me. See, this is why criminals do criminal acts, there is no punishment fitting the crime. Grand theft by fraud and deceit, 5 million bail. Death penalty if convicted. Not in 5 or 10 years, three appeals, you have a year to prove your innocent. Can’t do it… sorry bout your luck but on that 267th day, you fry.

Working with gold, you would think they would make sure every single gram is accounted for. If she wasnt so greedy and kept at it for so long, she might have gotten away with it. Not that I am saying this is ok though. I do agree, that is alot of gold for such a small bail. I think an once of weed (or possibly less) gets higher bail than that.
