Students complain about no ketchup, mustard

hotdogNutty News Tennessee – Students at Memphis City Schools are complaining there’s no ketchup. No mustard, either. Calvin Jones, the interim head of food services, said the schools have plenty of bulk condiments, but not enough cafeteria workers to squirt them into little plastic cups. The schools are asking for individual packs . The school board approved $77,514 to buy little fast-food packs of ketchup.  More…

Burglars leave notes thanking homeowners for stolen goods

thanksNutty News North Carolina – Two suspects, Dajuan Marquis Avant and Darrell Sturdivant Jr., face multiple charges after North Carolina police said they left a note thanking the homeowners for the $5,000 worth of electronics gear and food they stole. Fayetteville police spokesman Dan Grubb said the pair left one note on a white paper napkin saying simply, “Thanks.” Grubb said a second message etched into a wall said the same thing, and added: “We love the stuff we got.”  More…

Woman charged with neglecting elderly relative

april-johnsonNutty News Louisiana – A 30-year-old from Bayou Blue, April Johnson, was arrested after an older relative was found living in a filthy shed amid human waste in what authorities are calling one of the worst cases of neglect they have ever seen. The 69-year-old relative was found and removed from the home. She was living in a 10-by-16-foot wooden shed attached to Johnson’s home. The elderly woman was on a vinyl mattress with no sheets, lying in a pool of urine that stretched to her shoulders.  More…

Man robs bank, offers bystanders $1,000 for getaway ride

bankNutty News California – Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank on 38th Avenue offered bystanders $1,000 for a quick getaway. The man entered a bank on 38th Avenue and demanded $20 and $100 bills from a teller. The man then jumped onto the counter and pushed the teller, opened the till and stole an undisclosed amount of money. Witnesses told police a man less than a block away from the bank around the time of the robbery was acting suspiciously and offering $1,000 for a ride to Santa Cruz.  More…

Couple renews their marriage vows, mocked by the officiator

marriageNutty News Sri Lanka – Two Swiss tourists who chose the Maldives’ white-sand beaches as the setting to renew their marriage vows were instead mocked by the officiator, who chanted abuse and curses in the local language at the unsuspecting couple. Harold Owens, owner of Harold’s Restaurant in Virginia Beach, says the man used to work for him. Teens skip check, waiter hangs on to their vehicle for 8 blocks

The trio was pulled over in suburban Lincolnwood after they allegedly drove eight blocks with a waiter from the Buffalo Wild Wings in Skokie hanging on to their vehicle.
