petcoNutty News Fair Oaks, California – A California woman is suing PETCO after her dog suffered fatal injuries from being placed in a cage dryer. Teresa Gilland dropped her dog Sadie off for her monthly grooming appointment at the PETCO store in Fair Oaks – where Sadie experienced heat stroke, internal bleeding and burns after being in a cage dryer at the store. She had to be euthanized at the veterinary office later that evening because of her extreme injuries. Gilliand hopes she can get cage driers banned, but said consumers should at least see a posted warning when they drop off their pet.  More   Nutty News Today   Nutty News for iPhone   Nutty News for Android Phones   Nutty Videos   Nutty News Facebook Fan Page   Nutty News on Twitter   Nutty Videos on Twitter   Register A Website Address – Choose A Hosting Package – Easy Do-It-Yourself Websites - HostWink.com  Nutty News Marketplace

I have been a dog groomer for quite some time now and I have NEVER worked in a facility that used cage dryers with heat. I have only used regular box fans, the round metal grounds fans, or another dryer specifically made for dog grooming and there was absolutely no heat setting available. I live in Missouri and I have a friend who also had a dog die from grooming at a petco. Maybe it would be best if they re-evaluate their store procedures to prevent anything like this from occuring in the future. But as for me I will not be utilizing any services or purchase supplies from this company. My heart goes out to the owner. RIP Sadie
