Colorado – A gunman opened fire in a crowded movie theater in the Denver suburbs, killing at least 14 people and wounding 50 others, the local police and federal officials said.

The shooting erupted during midnight showings of “The Dark Night Rises” at the multiplex in Aurora, Colo., where throngs had gathered, some dressed as characters from the highly anticipated Batman sequel.

A federal law enforcement official said that a suspect in the shootings, a man born in 1987, was in custody. The police and federal agents were searching an apartment in the town after the man said he had explosives there. Other residents in the building were evacuated as a precaution.

Chaos spread quickly through the multiple packed theaters as the gunman, wearing a gas mask, stood in the front of one theater at around 12:30 a.m. local time and began firing at the crowd, The Associated Press reported. Witnesses described smelling either pepper spray or tear gas in the theater as the gunfire rang out.  Full Article   Videos at Nutty Videos   Update

It’s a real shame that this monster didn’t shoot himself in the head. Now we’re going to have to waste money on a trial (or two, or three) and then pay to house his sorry a$$ until he dies a natural death — after we’ve provided decades of stellar medical care.

    Isn’t that the truth.

Prosecute the NRA gangsters as co-defendant and attribute tragedies like this, the Gabrielle Giffords attack in AZ and countless others for it’s stranglehold on legislators and the bogus “inalienable right” to have AR 15′s with drum loads clips that can fire 50 cinder block penetrating rounds in a minute. Yep, we all need to have those..

I have a concealed-carry permit and a handgun. If I had been in the theater that night, I’d have pulled my gun out of my purse and shot the terrorist before he could have gotten as far as he did with his ‘mission’. I, and others like me, could have SAVED THE LIVES OF INNOCENT PEOPLE!

BTW, my gun has NEVER been aimed at a human being because I have NEVER aimed it at a human being! But God knows I will if the need arises — and I hope it never happens.

How come no one has crawled out from under their libtard rocks to debate anon 12:16?
