Toilet mirrors removed to protect angry birds

mirMirrors have been removed from the toilets at the National Arboretum in Gloucestershire because swallows keep fighting with their own reflections.

When the birds fly into the toilets at the Arboretum in Westonbirt, near Tetbury, they catch a glimpse of themselves in the mirrors and start fighting off what they believe is a rival for a mate.

Paul Cody, the head of visitor attraction at Westonbirt, said there were five nests nearby and the mirrors will be removed until October when things calm down.  More
