Man linked to electronics theft after being caught with stolen ice cream cone

wall richardLEWES, Delaware – A Delaware man with a sweet tooth was linked to an electronics theft after he was caught red-handed with a stolen ice cream cone.

Lewes police officers observed Richard Walls backing out of a parking spot in the Taramino Place Apartments with a flat-screen television, cable box and other electronics in his vehicle.

However, it was his “frozen vanilla fudge drumstick ice cream treat” that caught their attention, CBS Philly reported.

A previous burglary victim had already told police that a frozen ice cream treat had been taken from his freezer, in addition to the TV and cable box, Master Cpl. Gary Fournier told the Cape Gazette.  More
