battle flagThis Confederate battle flag was never the official flag of the Confederacy.

The Confederate States of America went through three different flags during the Civil War, but this battle flag wasn’t one of them.

Instead, the flag that most people associate with the Confederacy was the battle flag of Gen. Robert E. Lee’s Army of Northern Virginia.

Designed by the Confederate politician William Porcher Miles, the flag was rejected for use as the Confederacy’s official emblem, although it was incorporated into the two later flags as a canton.

It only came to be the flag most prominently associated with the Confederacy after the South lost the war.  More

  1. Anonymous Says:

I see Walmart is planning to stop selling products with the confederate flag emblem.

Had they done this 2 weeks ago, those good people in SC would still be alive!

(that’s called sarcasm, for you total retards who think banning emblems will “save lives”)

Amen anonymous!!! And NuttyNewsToday, bravo for reminding us of one of the main reasons liberals and black supremacists have no case for flag removal. Polls have always shown the flag that’s flying is the one the people want there at the Soldiers Monument, so that’s how it should be regardless what the NAACP, Obongo or anybody says.

Indeed it should be back up on the capitol dome, because only the lying newspapers and sellout politicians wanted it down.
