Autistic boy saves classmate from choking thanks to SpongeBob

williamsNew York – Autistic seventh-grader Brandon Williams learned a lifesaving lesson from watching “SpongeBob SquarePants” — and had a chance to use the move when his pal started choking at school.

Williams, 13, saved his special-needs classmate’s life with the Heimlich maneuver as she choked on an apple last week.

“He saved my life,” best pal Jessica Pellegrini said of Brandon outside the Barnes Intermediate School in Staten Island on Friday, throwing her arms around her hero. “He is awesome and cute,” she added.  More
