rhondaFor most of us that watched Ronda Rousey get upset by Holly Holm during the main event of UFC 193, it appeared that Rousey was simply bested by an opponent that most had underestimated.

Holm went into the bout as a 20-1 underdog against the reigning women’s bantamweight champion, but stunned Rousey and spectators around the world with a left kick to Rousey’s head that gave her the knockout victory.

    This fight was not fixed. Holm’s striking was superior and rousey decided to charge at her over and over while throwing punches, despite getting lit up every time she tried. Had she avoided striking and stuck with a judo approach, she would have had a much better shot at beating Holm.
