fireHouston – The homeless man charged with setting fire to a Houston mosque has said he has no “anger or hatred” towards Muslims.

Darryl Ferguson is awaiting trial after being charged with felony first degree arson for setting fire to the Quba Islamic Institute last February.

But the 56-year-old insists he was only trying to keep warm when he started the fire, and insists he is not guilty of a hate crime.

“I don’t have any hard feelings toward anybody,” he told the Houston Chronicle in an interview from Harris County Jail.  More
