GoFundMe shuts down campaign for woman who claims to have lost family fortune on lottery tickets

goTennessee – Cinnamon Nicole and her family claimed to have spent their entire fortune on Powerball tickets, in a Hail Mary shot to win the record-setting $1.6 billion jackpot, the now-deleted GoFundMe read.

She said they expected to win the lottery, but the effort fell flat after failing to beat an astronomical 1 in 292 million odds.

Like demonstrating the definition of insanity, Nicole asked for $100,000 from donors, so she could try the same thing again and expect different results.

At least seven people took it seriously, raising $810 in seven hours before it was taken down.  More
