6-year-old uses sleeping mom’s thumbprint to buy $250 worth of toys

sixLITTLE ROCK, Arkansas – An Arkansas mom thought her Amazon account had been hacked until her 6-year-old admitted to using the sleeping woman’s thumbprint to buy $250 worth of Pokemon.

Bethany Johnson Howell of Little Rock said her daughter, Ashlynd, used her mother’s thumbprint to unlock her iPhone while she was taking a nap and opened the device’s Amazon app.

Howell told the Wall Street Journal that “$250 later, she has shopped for all her Christmas presents on Amazon.”  More
