Nutty News California - “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” actor Shelley Malil said he stabbed his girlfriend more than 20 times after mistaking her for an attacker in the dark. While testifying in a California courtroom, Malil pleaded not guilty to charges of premeditated attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon and residential burglary. Malil, 45, testified that he never intended to hurt or murder Kendra Beebe, 38, on the night of the attack. More…

Nutty News New York - A Brooklyn woman has been charged with murder following the fatal stabbing of her husband in the couple’s apartment. Thirty-two-year-old Shellyann Henry apparently became enraged and confronted her husband, 44-year-old Rudolph Henry, when she found him watching a pornographic DVD in their home. The couple’s 4-year-old son may or may not have been in the room during the commotion. 
Nutty News Pennsylvania - Peg Pennepacker, an assistant principal for Susquehanna Twp. High School, has developed a reputation this year for walking around with a ruler to enforce the dress code. Pennepacker said she isn’t trying to be intrusive or hinder expression. But she said it’s a fair way to measure the district’s new rule of restricting the length of skirts and shorts to three inches above the knee. The ban targets torn and skin-tight clothes, baggy clothes, tank tops, spaghetti-strap tops, visible underwear and exposed cleavage and stomachs. 
Nutty News UK - For years amateur gardeners at Botcherby Paddock, Carlisle, have donated their produce to Eden Valley Hospice to sell at its city centre shops. But hospice managers told them this week they would not take any more because it contravened health regulations. The legislation says products like jam must be sold with a list of ingredients and information about where it was made. Fresh produce like fruit and veg must be sold from chilled cabinets, which Eden Valley Hospice shops do not have. 
Nutty News France - The 54 year-old of African origin was arrested in his two-room flat in Paris during a police raid which yielded documents showing more than 50 people were registered as living at that address. Police suspect the man was involved in a social benefits scam which could have been costing the state over 1 million euros ($1.27 million) annually in claims by the mothers. At the moment 42 women have been identified and each claim that the man is the biological father of their child. 
Nutty News UK - Casualty departments are dealing with dozens of emergency cases where infants are having seizures as a direct result of not getting enough vitamin D, which is essential for healthy teeth and bones. In one case, a baby suffered brain damage after a fit. Cancer Research UK is considering changing it guidelines concerning sun exposure because of the problem. Instead of advising people to stay out the midday sun completely, it may suggest that a few minutes exposure could be healthy. 
Nutty News Texas - Police said an angry mother believed to be a Metzger Middle School parent pulled a gun and threatened members of a Kirby seventh-grade volleyball team that had just defeated the Metzger team. They were in the back parking lot near the gym when the woman approached. The students were chanting and celebrating their victory. The woman approached them, pulled a handgun, and threatened to shoot them. 
Nutty News Fort Wayne, Indiana - Angela Dean, 44, and her husband, Brian Dean, 49 were charged Tuesday after they allegedly forced their children to live in a home filled with rodents, roaches, trash, and debris to the point where there was no place to sleep or even use the bathroom. One of the children stated that the reason the house was such a mess is because her family “just didn’t like to clean.” 
Nutty News Italy - First class. Business class. Coach. Saddle Class? Based on the idea of riding a horse, an Italian company says its new airline seat only takes up 23 inches of space. A regular coach seat is usually around 28 inches deep. The company thinks low-cost carriers will fall in love with their new design, maybe even creating a new class of seating for the saddle-inspired seats, as it will allow them to pack more people onto their flights. 
Nutty News London - A rare copy of John James Audubon’s “Birds of America,” billed as the world’s most expensive book, is up for sale alongside a first edition of Shakespeare’s plays at an auction to set book lovers’ pulses racing, Sotheby’s said. One of only 100 or so remaining copies of “Birds of America” is valued at between 4 million pounds and 6 million pounds ($6.2 million and $9.2 million), while a Shakespeare First Folio from 1623 is expected to fetch at least 1 million pounds ($1.54 million).
