PORT JERVIS, New York — A Port Jervis woman faces felony bigamy charges for being married to four men at the same time, police say.
Dorothy Wunders, 60, has four marriages on file – three with the City of Port Jervis and one with Middletown, according to Port Jervis police Detective Mike Worden. Worden received the case after the Port Jervis city clerk noticed the previous marriages on file. The marriages date from 1972 to 2008, according to police. COLUMBUS — Roman Catholic clergy in Columbus are asking Irish worshippers to refrain from celebrating St. Patrick’s Day on March 17 this year.
Columbus Bishop Frederick Campbell has asked local pastors to celebrate the patron saint a week early instead. For the first time in 67 years, the holiday falls during the week before Easter, called Holy Week and considered the most sacred week on the Christian calendar. Panhandlers Union: Fights for right to sleep in underpass

Ottawa, Canada - A panhandlers’ rights group in Ottawa is preparing a human rights complaint against the City of Ottawa after it put up a fence to stop them from sleeping in a downtown pedestrian underpass.
The city’s transportation committee had recommended the installation of the fence and increased lighting to improve safety in the underpass.(CBC)

Neighbour from hell Diane Duffin, 36, appeared at Leeds County Court today and failed to overturn an order to have her evicted.

WASHINGTON DC - U.S. consumer safety regulators typically take almost seven months to inform the public of dangerous products in cases where the manufacturers were fined for not promptly reporting the defect, watchdog group Public Citizen said on Thursday.
Companies that were fined for not timely reporting hazards took an average of 2.7 years to notify the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) of the problems, according to a report issued by the nonprofit group. Strange: 100 Nepalese Workers Missing From Alabama Plant

HUNTSVILLE, Alabama — About 100 people who came from Nepal to work at a north Alabama factory seemingly vanished from a pair of apartment buildings, along with a lot of furniture and appliances, and can’t be located, officials said Tuesday.
Immigration agents are trying to determine what happened to the Nepalese workers, among hundreds brought to the United States to work at a DVD factory operated by Cinram Inc., said Lauren Bethune, a spokeswoman for the Alabama Department of Homeland Security.

Waukesha, Wisconsin - Police executed a search warrant at the home of a registered sex offender only to find a 14-year-old girl under the covers in a locked bedroom wearing a dog collar, according to a probable cause document filed Wednesday in Waukesha County Circuit Court.
