So they decided to do this in retaliation a speeding program that is underfunded and there for is being shelved? I didn’t read anywhere that the problem came back or that it was severe again, etc etc.

I’ll tell you what -anyone- who shoots a paintball at my car better be prepared for trouble, especially when they can’t tell me how fast I was going (like by radar), nor show me that they have had any training in traffic laws or situations.

And even then at minimum they’ll still be going to civil court, and so will I after our “heated” discussion of ‘destruction of property’ and all the other laws that they just broke by guesstimating/eyeballing my speed and then deciding to illegally pop off a few paint balls.

  2. Ankharan Says:

And.. these are the same people that will cry foul when someone mistakes that gun pointed at them for a real gun and pull out their real gun and blow one of their heads off.

  3. Anonymous Says:

JJ I hope you kid or your mom gets hit by a speeding car!!

  4. Anthony Says:

If JJBlay’s car gets hit with a paintball from a paintball gun, one step out of his car he could be hit with several dozen paintballs before he could even defend himself. Hell, one shot in the mouth with one of those suckers at 200psi is all it takes.

No dis here. Just stating facts.

  5. George Says:

if I was speeding down that street with my GT..paint balls still too slow to hit my car. and if it did, my licenced .45 will be useful when I pull it out and we’ll see you little bastards. one of my bullet in your knee cap is all it takes! for you to NEVER walk normal again.

……”and the Shotgun seems to solve”

    The WHO

  7. Anonymous Says:

Maybe these idiots dont realize that shooting a paintball gun at a car would carry the same penalties as firing a real gun at a car. Let them start shooting, I guarantee they wont be for long.

  8. JJBlay Says:

Anon 13:17 According to your logic, it’s ok then for someone to sideswipe your car if you forget to use your turn signal? How about if THEY don’t feel you came to a complete stop at a stop sign, is ok for them to throw rocks at your car?

But I suppose you wouldn’t mind one bit if someone paint balled your car if they “thought” you were going too fast, say 5 miles over when you weren’t?

Grow up, and try to debate without death wishes and calling people names. I know that is a tall order, but you can always aspire to be better. Either that, or attend some anger management classes.

  9. JJBlay Says:

No, I understand Anthony. But I would almost welcome that.

Even though I am armed, I might allow it so I could 1. Get them arrested not only for destruction of property, but also for assault at a minimum.

Then 2. I would go on the local News and show everyone what idiot vigilanties they have in the city and discredit the h$ll out of them. Since of course they would have no proof of the speeding besides their “opinion”. And if someone were smart enough they would go through these area’s with a camera on.

  10. Lunar™ Says:

I feel the same way in my neighborhood (people doing well over 40 in a 25 mph zone, I don’t need radar to see that). The paintball is a good solution, seeing as an actual firearm would do too much damage. I’m all for it if it is very excessive speeding. And no JJ, 30 in a 25 isn’t grounds for it.

  11. Lunar™ Says:

IF you had kids you might feel the same way about speeding in a neighborhood (JJ). Painfully obvious that you don’t have any.

  12. JJBlay Says:

    Lunar, get a grip.

Your ASSUMING EVERYONE that would do this (paint balling cars) would be level headed, impartial and totally fair about it. I have seen people take things too an extreme because they felt justified in doing so. Even yelling and screaming for people to slow down on residential streets when people were doing correct speed limits. Some may have been justified - but some DEFINITELY were not. But then again they weren’t illegally destroying private property by yelling.

And that is my point, if it were up to people LIKE THAT, both guilty AND INNOCENT people would have had their property equally damaged.

Acting like there would never be a situation where a disgruntled old man, or a punk having a bad day wouldn’t take it out on cars, and then justify it by saying they felt someone was going to fast (even if they weren’t) is naive.

I am talking about the potential for this situation to get stupid if ignorant people get involved who feel it’s their right to enforce what ever laws they feel necessary, by whatever means. And considering the population in this country, that isn’t a very far fetched concept!

Like I said to Anon above - So it would also make sense to you if someone sideswiped your car if you forget to use your turn signal? How about if THEY don’t feel you came to a complete stop at a stop sign, is it ok for them to throw rocks at your car? (now how would you feel if you really didn’t do those things?) Probably like a victim of a CRIME I suspect!

It’s not like we have ignorant people in America that would take anything to far now do we? /sarcasm.

You would all be b*tching to kingdom come and at the top of your ever loving lungs about a bunch of out of control yahoo’s if they paint balled your car and you weren’t speeding.

Anyone speeding needs to slow down, yes. But having kids doesn’t mean that I have the right to take the law into my own hands and judge others nor in handing out what ever penalties I see fit.

But hey, Welcome to America anyway Lunar.

  13. Lunar™ Says:

You’re right, crazies would do it to anyone (paintball cars).

So, I should just take down tag numbers of speeders, and they will all be dealt with? That won’t get anything done, and I liked the paintball gun idea. Does that mean I will do it? No, because bottom line, they can argue they weren’t speeding. Its a no win situation.

However, there are many trees in my neighborhood. Maybe I can find a good sniping vantage point….
