Tampa, Florida - The 1.9-acre fenced site, however, has lost sand through the years. The city plans to replenish 200-plus feet of the coastline, but not before erosion safeguards are in place. In the winter my dogs have tons of snow (literally) to play in, in the spring they’ll have mud, in the summer they’ll have grass, and in the fall they’ll have leaves. None of these things had to be trucked in or paid for at taxpayer expense, and my dogs are as happy as can be.

@F.U.B.OOOOOO
sounds like you just ditch your dog outside and leave him to the elements.

^^ The thing some people don’t realize is that not all dogs are tiny little “designer” lapdogs that need to wear sweaters & mittens to keep warm. I happen to own REAL dogs that prefer laying on top of snowbanks in direct winter wind, even though they have several other options to choose from (including heat and beds). My dogs live better than most people do, and with far more freedom than most other dogs.

Shipping in tons of sand for pets at a high cost is nutty in my book.
