Dog shows off tightrope skills on owner’s clothes lines

tightA talented dog in China was filmed doing a tightrope walk across the clothes lines in its owner’s garden.

The well-balanced canine was filmed this month in Huaihua, Hunan Province, stepping carefully with its paws atop the clothes lines.

The agile dog takes several steps across the lines without falling or even wavering.  More

Bear locks itself in Virginia resident’s car, honks horn

bearPolice in Virginia said a 200-pound black bear accidentally locked itself inside a resident’s car and honked the horn until it was freed.

The Roanoke County Police Department said Glenvar area resident Ryan McClanahan and his family woke about 5 a.m. Thursday to the sound of their car’s horn blaring.

Officer Thayer responded to the call and discovered a 200-pound black bear had managed to get into the unlocked car and closed itself inside.   More

Armed Citizens Guard Texas Police Stations In Wake Of Dallas Shooting

armedPatton Village - A group of armed civilians stood outside two Texas police departments Saturday morning in an effort to show their support for law enforcement following the fatal shootings of five officers in Dallas.

James Evans, Roger Tarrant and Paul Wilson, all strapped with semi-automatic rifles, showed up at the Patton Village Police Department and stood outside for several hours, Guns.com reported.

It wasn’t long before locals started showing up with snacks and bottled water to support the men, they said.

“We had to put some of the food on the hood of our truck just so people would know that we were good,” Mr. Evans joked to the Montgomery County Police Reporter.  More

Tired Of Being Robbed, Gas Station Owner Puts Up Sign

gasMinnesota – Frank Schwagel, the owner of a Shell gas station in Sauk Rapids, Minn., was sick and tired of being pushed around.

His gas station was robbed twice in three months, so he decided to stop being a victim and take proactive steps to try to stop this from ever happening to him again.

Schwagel decided to do something unusual, according to WJON-TV.

He put a sign on his gas station’s front door last week offering discounts after 7 p.m. to police officers or anybody who shows him a conceal carry permit.  More

Customer with concealed carry permit is hailed a ‘hero’

customerAn early morning at a Washington 7-Eleven almost turned tragic when a masked man with an ax came charging through the door and started swinging without a word.

But just as he managed to slice the clerk in the stomach, a 60-year-old customer (picture) who was having his regular cup of coffee pulled out his gun and shot the attacker dead.

Kuldeep Singh believes he would have died had it not been for his regular customer, who had a concealed carry permit for his pistol and is being called a hero by police.  More

Homeowner Shoots, Kills 1 Of 2 Suspects Who Responded To Craigslist Ad

listLITTLETON, Colorado – Deputies are investigating a fatal shooting that took place at a home in Littleton Sunday morning.

According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the shooting occurred at a residence in the 5400 block of South Taft Court just after 9 a.m. and involved a homeowner and two other males.

Two men went to the home after responding to a Craigslist ad, according to the sheriff’s office.

The men produced a firearm and tied up the homeowner and took the keys to his Ford SUV.  More

South Carolina barber, his client fatally shoot armed robber during stickup

barberColumbia – A would-be South Carolina robber who tried to stick up a barber shop was killed Friday when the lead stylist and his client pulled out their concealed weapons and opened fire on the intruder.

A second suspect is still on the lam following the raid at Next Up Barber Shop in Columbia, officials said.

Store surveillance video caught the harrowing invasion — and the resulting shooting.

The shop was packed with customers — including young children — when two gunmen stormed into the store and demanded cash, barber Brandon Dreher said.  More

Woman, 65, With Concealed Gun Permit Shoots Man Who Tried To Rob Her

robMANCHESTER, New Hampshire – Police say a 65-year-old woman shot a man who tried to rob her Monday night, leading to that man’s arrest.

Michael Bontaites (picture), 23 of Manchester, was charged with attempted robbery and held on $5,000 bail.

He was charged and arraigned Tuesday at Elliot Hospital, where he had gone for treatment after he was shot.

The incident began after the woman noticed an unknown dark-colored sedan following her as she was driving home from her job around 11:30 p.m. Monday night, which she said gave her “heightened concern.”  More

Neighbors save an elderly man’s life by taking on his attacker with their guns

armedGeorgia – Two Georgia residents are being hailed as heroes after they saved an elderly neighbor’s life when they heard him screaming for help.

Karen Duncan was walking up her friends’s driveway in Lawrenceville on Monday afternoon when she heard an elderly man’s desperate cries for help.

She told Fox 5: ‘[I heard him say] Help, he is trying to kill me, help me, help me.’

Duncan saw an elderly gentleman laying on the ground with a younger man on top of him with a knife. There was blood and ‘this big old knife.’  More
