‘Affluenza’ idiot’s mom whines about jail conditions

Posted By Staff

Date: January 8th, 2016

momFORT WORTH, Texas – A “woman with means” who was arrested at a Mexican beach resort city with her fugitive teenage son who invoked “affluenza” as a defense after killing four people in a drunken-driving wreck has complained about the conditions of her Texas jail cell, a sheriff said Friday.

“She expressed a slight displeasure about her accommodations, and I told her this was a jail and not a resort,” Tarrant County Sheriff Dee Anderson said at a news conference.

Tonya Couch, 48, and her 18-year-old son Ethan Couch, have been the objects of derision since Ethan was sentenced to probation, rather than jail time, for the 2013 wreck.

The case drew renewed attention when the mother and son fled to Mexico after a video surfaced that appeared to show Ethan Couch, fresh from a rehabilitation center, at a party where people were drinking.  More

Just walking into McDonald’s can get you killed

Posted By Staff

Date: January 5th, 2016

mcNew York – The tragic murder of McDonald’s hero Adam Garcia, 28, who was trying to protect customers from a homeless psychotic, should be a wake-up call about what’s going on at the Golden Arches’ 250 New York City outlets.

Garcia’s stabbing on the sidewalk outside a McDonald’s in The Bronx early Monday morning was at least the sixth case of violent mayhem at one of the chain’s eateries since March 2015.

The Big Mac attacks have left three dead and five seriously injured.

No wonder: Too many McDonald’s outlets are sleaze pits. Their downmarket, let-it-all-hang-out atmosphere draws lowlifes who couldn’t care less that the profit-challenged chain boasts it now sells antibiotic-free chicken.  More

Las Vegas Strip ‘murderer’ was HIGH on marijuana when she ‘plowed into pedestrians

Posted By Staff

Date: December 31st, 2015

vegasNevada – A woman accused of ramming a car into a crowd of pedestrians in Las Vegas earlier this month had marijuana in her system at the time of the deadly incident, it was revealed today.

According to the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, the toxicology examination of Lakeisha Holloway determined that at the time of her arrest on December 20, the 24-year-old woman had 3.5 nanograms per milliliter of marijuana in her blood, which is above the 2-nanogram limit in Nevada.

The 23.6 nanograms per milliliter of marijuana by-products in her system were above the 5-nanogram state limit.

District Attorney Steve Wolfson and prosecutor Marc DiGiacomo said the test results do not change the initial charges of murder, child endangerment and felony hit-and-run against Holloway.  More

Look inside California’s San Quentin jail where 725 condemned men wait decades to die

Posted By Staff

Date: December 30th, 2015

eastCalifornia – No-one has been executed at San Quentin State Prison in Marin County for almost a decade and a $853,000 death chamber built in 2008 has never been used.

For the first time since a federal judge put a halt to all executions in California in 2006 after ruling the state’s death penalty was unconstitutional, prison officials allowed reporters inside.

There, 725 inmates await a decision on a proposed one-drug execution methods and a vote on whether to scrap the death penalty altogether.

‘We are just left on a shelf, and that’s worse than being executed because you’re just waiting to die,’ Robert Galvan told SFGate.  More

Pizza order led authorities to Puerto Vallarta hideout of ‘affluenza’ teen Ethan Couch

Posted By Staff

Date: December 30th, 2015

condoMexico - A grungy Puerto Vallarta condo was home, sweet home to “affluenza” teen punk Ethan Couch and his mom before authorities caught up to the fleeing duo.

An order to Domino’s Pizza from a cell phone gave away 18-year-old Ethan and Tonya Couch, 48, and led authorities to the bustling intersection of Argentina and Colombia, a four-block jaunt to a sandy beach along Mexico’s Pacific coast.

It took a surveillance team nearly a week to track down Couch, who fled the U.S. fearing the results of a juvenile probation violation in Texas.

Local police swooped in and detained the evasive fugitives near the weathered four-story brick building Monday night.  More
