MINNEAPOLIS – The price tag for new signs directing motorists to terminals at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport has soared to $2.2 million, officials say.

Texas City, Texas – Police arrested a Texas City man accused of wrapping a large chain around his 15-year-old son’s neck before spraying the teen in the face with Mace at their home Saturday morning, authorities said.

Stopping for ducklings causes six-car pile-up

Wisconsin – An Illinois man stopped on I-90/94/39 near Arlington on Friday morning to let some ducks cross the road and caused a pileup involving at least six cars, according to the Wisconsin State Patrol.

OCRACOKE, North Carolina – A truckload of fireworks exploded Saturday morning on a dock at a remote North Carolina island, killing two workers and critically injuring three others preparing for an Independence Day celebration, authorities said.

ORLANDO, Florida – A Walt Disney World employee was killed early Sunday morning when two monorails carrying at least five guests collided at Magic Kingdom, emergency officials said. The name of the driver has not been released. The operator of the other monorail was not injured.
