The Experimental Drug

Posted By Staff

Date: June 3rd, 2018

capA lady goes to the doctor and complains that her husband is losing interest in sex.

The doctor gives her a capsule, but warns her that it’s still experimental.

He tells her to open it and put the powder into his mashed potatoes at dinner, so that night, she does just that.

About a week later, she’s back at the doctor, where she says, “Doc, the pill worked great!

I put it in the potatoes like you said!

It wasn’t five minutes later that he jumped up, raked all the food and dishes onto the floor, grabbed me, ripped all my clothes off, and ravaged me right there on the table!”

The doctor says, “I’m sorry, we didn’t realize the pill was that strong!

The foundation will be glad to pay for any damages.”

“Nah,” she says, “that’s okay.

We’re never going back to that restaurant anyway.”

Peanuts

Posted By Staff

Date: June 3rd, 2018

Category: Nutty Facts

peanutsPeanuts is an indelible part of American culture. By 1999, Charles Schulz’s comic strip about a pensive boy named Charlie Brown and his friends was running in 2600 newspapers in 75 countries, and it’s still in plenty of papers today, though its creator is no longer around.

Charlie Brown first appeared as a character in a comic strip called Li’l Folks, but when Schulz approached the United Feature Syndicate about a publishing deal in 1950, the syndication service thought the name was too close to two other comics it ran at the time, and changed it to Peanuts.

Schulz never liked the new moniker; he thought it “made it sound too insignificant.”

When asked about the hardest character trait to ink, Paige Braddock, the creative director of Charles M. Schulz Creative Associates, admitted that Charlie Brown’s noggin is the most complicated piece to pull off. “It is nearly impossible to get right when you first start working with the characters, and if it is off in the least, it really stands out,” she says in The Art and Making of the Peanuts Movie.

Even the U.S. Postal Service loves A Charlie Brown Christmas. To mark the 65th anniversary of the comic and the 50th anniversary of the television special, the USPS is releasing Forever stamps with images like Snoopy ice skating, Linus kneeling with the Christmas tree, and Charlie Brown checking the mail for a Christmas card. The Peanuts gang also got a commemorative stamp from the USPS in 2001.

Australian Psychic Claims That She Can Smell Imminent Death on People

Posted By Staff

Category: Nutty News

deathAri Kala, a 24-year-old psychic from New South Wales, Australia, claims to have a very unusual clairvoyant  gift – she can tell if people are about to die just by taking a whiff of them.

The self-described ‘psychic coach’ apparently discovered her unique talent when she was just 12 years old, while visiting her terminally-ill uncle.

She recalls picking up an odd smell in his house the night before he died and thinking it was his remains.

However nobody else could smell it, and Kala says that the “odd, sickly sweet rotten kind of smell” turned out to be that of imminent death, which she would detect countless times throughout her life, especially among people with terminal diseases and the elderly.  More
