diarrheaA popular strip club in Bloomington, Illinois has been closed until further notice after several dancers contracted diarrhea last night. The cause of the incident has been initially linked to a contaminated buffet at the venue. While investigations continue, the venue has not been named.

The strip club was nearly full when the incident occurred, and both staff and customers were reported to have eaten from the free buffet. According to a witness at the venue, three dancers were performing on separate poles when the first sign of trouble emerged.

“At first I picked up a bad smell; I thought maybe the guy next to me had farted,” said the witness, who declined to be named. “However, the smell got worse and I noticed that a lot of other guys were looking around to see what it was.”

It was at this point that the first dancer to suffer from diarrhea was unable to control her bowels any longer, and ‘a stream of brown liquid soon gushed over the stage’. “It was absolutely disgusting. A number of guests immediately puked.”

Some of the guests also contracted diarrhea and there was a rush on the men’s room, which unfortunately did not have enough stalls to cope with the sudden influx in demand.

Cleaners who were hired to deal with the mess reportedly were shocked at the condition of the venue. “Strip clubs are generally dirty places, but this was on a whole new level,” said one of the cleaning staff. “In my time, I’ve seen faeces in a urinal once or twice, but never in the sinks.”

dineA man lambasted as the “dine-and-dash dater” after being accused of meeting women at restaurants across the Los Angeles area only to leave them with the bill pleaded not guilty to charges of theft and extortion on Monday, prosecutors said.

Paul Guadalupe Gonzales, 45, allegedly connected with a string of women through dating apps and websites and invited them out to dinner between May 2016 and this April with the intent of using them as a meal ticket, the L.A. County District Attorney’s Office said in a news release.

He arranged dates at restaurants in Pasadena, Long Beach, Burbank and Los Angeles, where he ordered and consumed food and drinks, then disappeared before the bill had been paid, the DA’s office said.

Eight women told prosecutors they’d footed the bill, one of them under the belief that Gonzales would pay her back. And at least twice, the restaurant paid its own check — making those businesses victims in the criminal complaint, officials said.

In total, Gonzales is accused of defrauding the women of more than $950.

He’s also charged with receiving hair salon services, then leaving before paying.

Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Gonzales on July 3, an inmate records show he was taken into custody Saturday, Aug. 25, in Pasadena.

He was subsequently charged with seven counts of extortion, two counts of attempted extortion and one count of grand theft — all felonies. He also faces two misdemeanor counts each of defrauding an innkeeper and petty theft.

If convicted as charged, the defendant could spend up to 13 years in state prison, prosecutors said.

fartAre farts funny? History has long tussled with this question, and it won’t be answered today.

However, if farts are or can be funny, then they are certainly funny in the story of “Paul Flart,” a 31-year-old security guard at a Florida hospital who has quietly documented his many, many farts on Instagram for the past six months.

The variety of farts is gobsmacking—quick, drawn-out, sometimes throaty and sometimes viscous—and Flart himself seems to be both delighted and troubled by the flatulence he unleashes.

Vice got in touch with the guy, whose real name is Doug.

He started the job after moving from New Jersey to help his mom out, and found he had a lot of free time while sitting around at the front desk.

“The lobby has really great acoustics, and naturally, we all fart,” he told Vice, omitting the fact that while we all fart we do not all fart like he does.

“One day I ripped a rather nice one and got really good sound from it, so the next time it happened I recorded it and sent it to my group chat.” He credits the group chat with innovating his name, and the rest is history.

Impatience apparently drove a man waiting for a passing freight train at a Salt Lake City railroad crossing to a rash decision Saturday evening, police told The Salt Lake Tribune.

train“It looks like he just squatted down and tried to roll underneath it, like in the movies or something,” Lt. Russ Amott of the Salt Lake City Police Department told KUTV.

A video of the incident, shot by a nearby railroad camera, shows the man, believed to be in his 30s, trying to time his move to roll between the wheels of the 15 mph train, reported The Deseret News.

But he was caught up in the train’s wheels and killed between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Saturday, police told KSTU.

The train operator realized something had happened and stopped the train, police told The Deseret News. The man was not carrying identification and police are trying to identify him. Based on their review of the video, police do not suspect suicide.

“From video he looks like he was just trying to get from one side to the other and became impatient,” Arnott told KUTV.

The incident delayed transit service on the rail line until about 7:30 p.m., KSTU reported.

nestEuropean Hornets have been removed after building a large nest in a car in Ohio, in a scene that looked like a horror movie.

Travis Watson, who owns The Bee Man, was called into action after the nest was found inside the El Camino on Sunday.

Watson tells WJW-TV the queens emerge from hibernation in April and it takes a long time to get workers in the nest. Once the queen starts to only lay eggs the nest starts growing quite rapidly in July.

Watson says the hornets aggressively defend the nest and can sting repeatedly. He wore a triple-layer suit and sting-proof gloves while he blowing a powder into the nest.

He removed the nest and disposed of it because, he says, the hornets do not pollinate like honey bees.

bullThis is the horrifying moment a bull gores a woman during a traditional Spanish event where the animal’s horns are set on fire.

Footage from the scene shows the animal charge at the woman, who has not been named, and lifting her into the air by the horns before she crashes to the ground.

During the toro embolado town festival in Sumacarcer, in the eastern Spanish region of Valencia, the animal is fitted with wooden balls on its horns which are then set alight.

Footage shows event organisers cruelly lighting the bull’s horns and setting it loose within the arena as spectators look on from behind metal fences.

As the bull runs across the arena a young woman, who was reportedly taking photos, emerges at the far end of the arena and is tossed into the air by the animal.

As the audience screams in horror, several spectators are seen running over to the aid of the injured woman who now lies on the ground and cautiously move her out of harms way.

The injured woman was attended to by local paramedics before being rushed to the Lluis Alcanyis Hospital in the nearby city of Xativa.

couchThe Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal has arrested a Denham Springs woman for setting her couch on fire to ”get the devil out.”

JoLynn Winn, 53, was booked into the Livingston Parish jail Friday on one count of simple arson.

On August 11, the 4th District Volunteer Fire Department contacted the LAOSFM about a trailer fire in the 11000 block of Arnold Road.

Officials said firefighters found Winn at the scene suffering from smoke inhalation.

Officials said Winn told firefighters she had set the couch on fire “to get the devil out.”

Winn had been taken to a local hospital for treatment before investigators arrived at the scene.

Investigators found fire damage in the trailer’s living room and determined that the fire started because of the burning couch.

Winn was arrested after she was released from the hospital. Officials said Winn confessed to setting the fire.

opossumAn off-duty Florida sheriff’s deputy helped capture an opossum that fell from the ceiling into an apartment resident’s bedroom.

The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post Deputy Eric Phillips was working an off-duty detail at a Lake Mary apartment complex early Saturday morning when a resident called to report a furry intruder in his bedroom.

Phillips determined the opossum had fallen through the attic opening in the ceiling of the man’s apartment and fled behind the nightstand.

“Phillips, the resident, and a friend were able to capture the critter using a blanket and plastic bin,” the sheriff’s office said. “Instead of charging the intruder with breaking and entering and resisting arrest, the opossum was released on it’s own recognizance.”

The sheriff’s office said the incident was “the stuff nightmares are made of.”

gopArizona Republican Kelli Ward and one of her staffers accused John McCain of announcing that he was about to die at a time that would harm their campaign.

Veteran Arizona TV reporter Brahm Resnik shared tweets between the staffer and Ward herself, in which they bantered about the timing of McCain’s announcement that he was dying.

“I wonder if John McCain’s trying to steal attention from Ward’s bus tour by announcing his life is coming to an end,” the staffer wrote.

Ward, a Trump-loving extremist who primaried McCain in 2016, had a contentious relationship with McCain, who she frequently slammed.

Ward is now running for Sen. Jeff Flake’s seat (R-AZ), and agreed that McCain was trying to have a “negative” effect on her by dying.

After Resnik pointed out Ward’s comment she deleted it and posted a statement accusing the “fake” news of pushing a narrative.

“I think they wanted to have a particular narrative that was negative to me,” Ward wrote in response to the conspiracy theory.

Florida Candidate Says Alien Abduction Claim Doesn’t Define Her

alienU.S. House candidate Bettina Rodriguez Aguilera has a long list of accomplishments to bolster her campaign in Florida. But she is perhaps best known for claiming that she was abducted by space aliens as a child.

Rodriguez Aguilera is a longshot in the race for the Miami-area seat being vacated by retiring Republican Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen. Yet last weekend, the Miami Herald endorsed her for the GOP nomination in the Tuesday primary out of a field of nine candidates.

In an interview, Rodriguez Aguilera said she is grateful for the endorsement and that her tale of kidnapping by aliens does not define her.

“It has nothing to do with what I have done. It happened when I was 7 years old,” she said. “I am so proud of the Herald and what they did.”

Rodriguez Aguilera says she was taken aboard a spaceship as a young girl by blond extraterrestrials who resembled the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro. She says they told her that the “center of the world’s energy is Africa” and that thousands of non-human skulls were once discovered in a cave on the Mediterranean island of Malta.

She has said she witnessed paranormal activity since then and saw a UFO at age 17. She also said she has been in touch with the aliens telepathically long after the abduction.

Patient waited 62 hours for ambulance

ambulanceA patient waited 62 hours for an ambulance, while four trusts took more than 24 hours to respond to 999 calls, new figures have shown.

The longest delays in the UK were recorded by Welsh Ambulance Service, which kept four patients waiting for more than 50 hours.

A spokesman said the figures were “not typical” and “represent the extreme end of the waiting time spectrum”.

The Patients Association said they were “extremely concerning”.

Between June 2017 and June 2018, ambulances from four services took 24 hours to reach patients, including some with breathing and mental health problems.

The trusts said the longest waits were for “less serious calls”, and they had to prioritise responding to people in life-threatening or urgent conditions.

Most ambulance services also reported achieving the national target of responding to the most serious type of call in an average of eight minutes or less.

Caroline Hardaker’s mother Sylvia, 79, lay on paving stones in her back garden for three-and-a-half hours after falling and breaking her hip in High Wycombe.

She said: “I think I rang six times in the end, and each time they said they would have a clinician call back and then they didn’t.

“It was so frustrating, just thinking ‘how long are they going to take’? And my mum was going into shock, her arms were shaking. Her arm had gone numb.

“She was obviously cold because she was lying on a pavement.

“The ambulance and hospital staff have been fantastic – its not their fault, the whole system is breaking down.

“When I was a child you were told it would be a maximum of eight minutes for an ambulance, but three-and-a-half hours is completely unacceptable.”

diesPolice in Ardmore, Oklahoma are investigating after a woman was mauled to death by a pack of mixed dachshunds.

Tracy Garcia, 52, was near her home on May 7th when a pack of seven dogs attacked her, KXII-TV reports. She later died at the hospital.

As first responders on the scene tried to help the woman, one of the dogs turned on them.

“Unfortunately, yes. We had to shoot one dog,” Carter County Sheriff Chris Bryant told KFOR. “It did charge our deputies and to protect our deputies, as well as the medical personnel, we did have to put down a dog.”

The dogs were all dachshund mixes, according to Ardmore Animal Shelter’s euthanasia technician Amanda Dinwiddie. Six of the dogs are believed to be standard dachshund and terrier mixes, and one of the dogs was a standard dachshund border collie mix. The dogs ranged in age from 1 to 3 years old.
