Ussery was paroled in 2009 after serving time for a robbery charge, he was held at California State Prison, Sacramento, also called New Folsom Prison. Officers say Ussery snuck onto the prison grounds overnight, and was spotted on thermal imaging equipment around 1:30 a.m. Correctional officers admit a growing trend of former inmates sneaking back onto prison grounds and leaving a bag of contraband, like cell phones or drugs, for inmate crews to pick up later.
