India – “Rape is a big, big problem. It starts with the woman. They drive the man crazy.”

Papi Gonzales leans back in his chair and surveys the other young Indian men around the table in his beach bar, seeking approval.

They nod in agreement, eager to make their own points.

“When the girls look sexy and the boys can’t control themselves, they are going to rape.

It happens,” said Robin Shretha, one of the waiters.  True Crime Today

PETA killed 90 per cent of dogs and cats – 1,600 killed, 19 placed in new homes

Virginia – Animal rights charity PETA killed almost 90  per cent of dogs and cats placed in the care of the shelter at its Virginia  headquarters last year, it has been revealed today.

The charity, well-known for attention  grabbing publicity campaigns such as the ‘I’d rather go naked’ anti-fur  campaign, euthanized 1,647 cats and dogs last year and only placed 19 in new  homes according to the data submitted to the Virginia  Department for Agriculture and Consumer Services.

PETA told Mail Online that the animals they take in at the center are unadoptable, however 89.4 per cent of pets is much higher than their own approximation that half of animals taken to shelters end  up being euthanized.

Since 1998 the shelter has euthanized a  total of  29,398 pets.

Justin Wilson, CCF Senior Research Analyst  said: ‘The animal rights group is talking out of both sides of its mouth – on  one side preaching its animal liberation agenda, while on the other signing the  death warrant of over 89 percent of pets in its care. It’s beyond  hypocritical.’  Full Article

YELLOWKNIFE, Canada – A Northwest Territories man was just scratching what he thought was an annoying old itch earlier this week when it turned out to be a knife blade that had been buried in his flesh for almost three years.

“I jumped in a cab and went straight to emergency,” said Billy McNeely, 32.

The story goes back to an April 2010 birthday party in McNeely’s home town of Fort Good Hope, N.W.T.

McNeely said a fight broke out between himself and another man over an arm-wrestling contest that ended up with McNeely being stabbed five times.

“They stitched me up and bandaged me up,” said McNeely. “They never took X-rays.”

Ever since, McNeely has had a lump in his back where the knife went in. Doctors and nurses told him nerves had been damaged in the stabbing.  Full Article

NEW PORT RICHEY, Florida – When Jennifer Lee’s husband took her out Tuesday for a few beers and a basket of Beef O’Brady’s chicken wings, deputies say, she had a plan for how to spend the rest of the night: a round of mini golf and a motel room.

Her 68-year-old husband, Benjamin Lee, wasn’t on board with the plan.

Just before 8 p.m., a deputy waiting on a red light at U.S. 19 and Embassy Boulevard spotted the couple in Benjamin Lee’s pickup truck, where Jennifer Lee was slapping her husband in the face then grabbed a fistful of his hair and jerked his head around, the report states.

The deputy stopped the truck to talk with the couple. Jennifer Lee, 46, told the deputy that her husband said mean things to her and that she just wanted to play mini golf.  Full Article
