sevenNutty News Syracuse, New York – A 15-year-old Syracuse boy will now spend the next two to six years in juvenile detention and the rest of his life as a felon. It was all for a robbery that earned him only pocket change. Anthony Stewart was found guilty of first-degree robbery earlier this month for beating and kicking a 73-year-old man and robbing him of seven cents. Prosecutors say the victim was on his way to a store when the two teenagers ran up from behind, knocked him into a snow bank, then kicked and punched him. The two teens had handguns, which Stewart later admitted were BB guns, prosecutors said. Onondaga County Judge William Walsh rejected a defense lawyer’s request to treat Anthony Stewart as a youthful offender.  More   Click on the Nutty News reporter at the top, left column for another Nutty News story

megan-stewartNutty News of the World: Scotland – A teenage girl in Scotland with an extremely rare medical condition was told by doctors that brushing her hair could kill her. Megan Stewart, 13, suffers from hair brushing syndrome, which means that contact with static electricity could cause her brain to shut down. Her condition came to light as she got ready for school in Wishaw, central Scotland. Her mother, Sharon, said, “I was brushing her hair in the living room when she flopped over and her lips turned blue. I thought she was having a fit, which she’d never had before, so we called the paramedics. It was really scary.” Doctors at Glasgow’s Yorkhill Hospital for Sick Children told her parents that they had only ever heard of one other case of the syndrome, which causes vital organs to shut down if there is a buildup of static.  More   Click on the Nutty News reporter at the top, left column for another Nutty News story

tyler-hadleyNutty News Port St. Lucie, Florida – A Florida teenager, Tyler Hadley, 17, accused of beating his parents to death with a hammer — then throwing a party while their bodies lay in a bedroom of the family home — told his best friend he had committed the crimes, according to a police report. He told Mandell he contemplated killing his mother for about five minutes as he stood behind her while she was working on a computer. “Then he decided to strike his mother in the back of the head with a hammer,” the affidavit states. After a few strikes from the hammer, Hadley said his mother turned to him and asked, “Why?” Hadley’s father heard his wife scream and came out of the bedroom. “Tyler told MM that he and his father stared into each other’s eyes for a minute. Tyler said he then went after his father and murdered him,” the affidavit states. Hadley said it took about three hours to clean up “all the blood and that it had been more than he had expected,” but it was only when he showed Mandell a bloody shoeprint on the floor of the garage that he began to believe the story.   More   True Crime Today    Nutty News Today   Nutty News for iPhone   Nutty News for Android Phones   Nutty Videos   Nutty News Facebook Fan Page   Nutty News on Twitter   Nutty Videos on Twitter   Register A Website Address – Choose A Hosting Package – Easy Do-It-Yourself Websites - HostWink.com  Nutty News Marketplace
