Nutty News Canada – Canadian police say an officer’s decision to stop a suspicious vehicle led to the discovery of a 15-year-old girl’s body and the arrest of a 20-year-old man. A Royal Canadian Mounted Police officer in British Columbia noticed a pickup truck turning onto a highway from a disused logging road and after pulling the vehicle over became suspicious of the driver’s answers to questions.  More…

Nutty News Washington DC – An Australian company will sell the world’s first armpit testosterone lotion in American stores next year after receiving approval from the US Food and Drug Administration. The lotion, created by Melbourne-based drug delivery firm Acrux, treats men with hypogonadism, a disease which produces low testosterone levels and includes symptoms such as erectile dysfunction, low sexual desire and performance.  More…

Nutty News Ghana – A 72-year-old grandmother suffered one of the most barbaric of deaths when she was burnt alive by a mob after being accused of being a witch. A student-nurse, who appeared on the scene, attempted to rescue the old woman from her ordeal but the woman died of her burns within 24 hours. Five people who allegedly tortured and extracted the confessions of witchcraft from Ama Hemmah before drenching her in kerosene and setting her ablaze have been arrested.  More…

Nutty News Florida – Police said a suspect arrested for drug possession denied ownership of the cocaine he was found to be concealing in his buttocks. Deputies searching Roberts’ person discovered a soft object in his buttocks that Roberts then took out and gave to the deputies, who identified it as a baggie of marijuana. Deputies said they found a second soft object in Roberts’ buttocks that was removed and identified as cocaine. He said the cocaine was not his.  More…

Nutty News Guam – In a ploy to rid Guam of its population of invasive brown tree snakes, the U.S. Department of Agriculture is bombing the island with drugged frozen mice, military news outlet Stars and Stripes reported. Using Naval Base Guam as a starting point, scientists drop mice packed with acetaminophen from helicopters into the jungle canopy. Snakes will die when they eat acetaminophen.  More…

So Chris Voigt says he’s going to eat nothing for 60 days except potatoes. Twenty potatoes a day. Nutty News Arizona – A Phoenix jail inmate was left wearing nothing but pink socks after scaling five fences in an escape attempt before he was captured. The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office says 24-year-old Clayton Thornburg suffered cuts on parts of his body since some of the Durango Jail’s fences are 15 feet high and topped with razor wire. Jail officials say the razor wire had stripped away Thornburg’s jail uniform and pink underwear by the time he reached the last fence.  More…

Nutty News Montana – A 31-year-old Three Forks man accused of hitting his pregnant sister in the mouth with a wrench during her wedding reception has pleaded not guilty. David J. Sicotte appeared in District Court on charges of assault with a weapon, a felony, and disorderly conduct. Prosecutors said he arrived at the reception uninvited, pushed his sister’s new mother-in-law to the ground and started fighting with the groom. Witnesses said Sicotte later came at his sister with the wrench.  More…

Nutty News Michigan – Police said a 40-year-old man faces drunk driving charges after he drove an intoxicated woman to the police station. Police said Donald Chamberlain, from Clawson, drove his 35-year-old neighbor to the station to answer questions about an assault involving her husband the previous day. The woman left the station with Chamberlain after telling officers she was too drunk to answer questions.  More…

Now that coach and his school are facing fines that could reach into the thousands of dollars — and potential forfeiture of victories — because of the player’s housing arrangements. Nutty News Ohio – Kroger stores in Cincinnati said cereal boxes named for Bengals star Chad Ochocinco are being pulled due to a misprinted phone number leading to a sex line. The Ochocinco cereal was supposed to bear the number 1-888-HELP-FTC, which connects to Feed the Children, the charity the cereal is supporting, but customers who attempted to call the number listed on the box, 1-800-HELP-FTC, were instead connected with a phone sex line.  More…

Nutty News Kansas City – A woman drove to Ottumwa to pull a gun on a man. Ottumwa police said they found Breana Greathouse, 25, with the weapon in her hand, threatening to shoot Forrest Jamison of Ottumwa. Police said Greathouse traveled from Kansas City to allegedly kill Jamison because she believed that he made derogatory postings about her on the internet.  More…

Nutty News Europe – Europe’s top court has declared that working fathers in Spain are entitled to take breastfeeding leave everyday, even if the mother of the child is not employed. The new legislation means that both the mother and father are allowed to leave work for an hour during the day or reduce their working day by half an hour during the first nine months following the birth of a child. The European Union Court of Justice in Luxembourg ruled that the Spanish law caused an unjustified discrimination on grounds of sex because fathers do not have the same rights as mothers.  More…
